Food Designs for your Bakery

A bakery business is fun to get into because you cater to different kinds of customers and seasons, leaving you with a lot of options for different concepts and ideas for your products. Fully promoting your ideas can be best promoted through your promotional materials also, just like in your bakery business cards, vinyl banners, print flyers, special guest appearances on television, and even your website.
Before you start thinking of layouts, build first in your head what the whole concept of your store, customers, products, and extras such as decorations and packaging are all about. These elements can shape up your ideas and give you a skeletal figure on how you can start on your design. With these in mind, working around basic promotional concepts and tips to add color and graphics will come in easy.
1. Cake on Business Cards: Promoting the highlights of your bakery through your business cards will be effective with a design that can make your receiver get hungry just by the sight of your card. Since the standard shape of your business card is rectangular, filling up the whole back part with a cake design can be very tasteful to look at. Try having a contrasting color for the back part compared to the details part of your calling card. For example, of you choose to use light green for your company details, use a close up picture of a hot pink, chocolate brown, or strawberry red to fill up the back part; your receivers will surely take time looking at the photo and later on visit your bakery shop.
2. Gourmet sandwich on banners: To make the product mouth-watering for viewers, try cutting off the sandwich photo at the middle area and vertically crop. This way, you can see the whole of the insides of what your gourmet sandwich consists of like fresh and moist greens, red juicy tomatoes, fresh and thinly-sliced ham, crisp wheat bread, and your special creamy sauce. When the promoted product is fully focused on, your audience can better imagine what the sandwich tastes like.
3. Pastries on flyers: Pastries are full of color and have a wide variation that using these products as the main design on one side of your flyer can be very attractive to your target market. Just like in your shop display, you can line up your strawberry tarts, cupcakes in different flavors, bagels and doughnuts, croissants, and uniquely-shaped pastries to fill up the whole back part of your print flyers.
To make good promotional tools, consider also having great photographs to go with the design. With food, the colors and texture of the product are what make the food delicious to look at.
