Fiskars Embossing
I'm creating a mock up business card and letterhead. I want to emboss the company name, how do I do it? ?

I want to manually emboss the company name on the business card and letterhead. This is for a mock up to see how it looks. What tools do you suggest I use? Right now I have Fiskars (brand) embossing tool, but I'm not sure if I'm using it right. I've done research on manual embossing and now inks are coming into play. I'm digitally creating the file, and printing the business card and letterhead on a high quality printer.

How do you suggest I do this?
I'm student so if heat embossing is going to pricy I'd rather do the dry emboss technique. Therefore, I would like to know of a top notch embossing stylus because the one I have "ain't worth a crap".

In order to dry emboss, also known as blind embossing, you'll need a stencil. The stencil gives the stylus an edge to raise up the paper.

For heat embossing, you can buy embossing powder at the craft store for 3 or 4 dollars.
Print your letterhead on heavy paper or card stock.
Then sprinkle the embossing powder on the wet ink just as it comes out of the printer, then tap off the excess, like you would glitter.
You can either heat it with a heat gun, or simply hold it over a toaster.
(Put it on the longest setting.)

Good luck!
