Old West Cricut Cartridge Project Ideas

I don't know what I love best about the Old West Cricut Cartridge - the western-themed images that can be cut with it, or the cool selection of cowboy-inspired letters and numbers!

This afternoon, I took a little time to browse projects made using this cart.  Everything I came across was very inspiring.  If you need to get your paper crafting mojo back on track too, here are four projects that are sure to do the trick!

  • Over on the Cricut Holiday blog , Joy made an absolutely adorable scrapbooking layout, with the title of "Howdy Pardner!"  The red bandanna paper she used as photo mats was one of my favorite parts of her layout, as well as the twine that she tied around the mats - it gave it a real cowboy feel!
  • Tracy at CraftJunkieToo reached for this cart to make her brother a 40th birthday card.  Her brother and his family are into horses, and once you see her card, you will see how she used a Die Cut horse cut from this cartridge as her focal point.  Like Joy, she used some jute ribbon (twine) to give the overall project a rustic feel.
  • Thunderbird Lindy made an incredible 3-d set for her daughter to play with using this cartridge, complete with fences, horses and steer, cowboys, and even a barn and windmill - so cool!
  • Dedrah at Blondie's Creative Place used the Old West cartridge to put together a  layout for the Cricut Lay It Down scrapbooking challenge.  She distressed the paper  with a little inking, sanding, and even some embossing.  Even without the distressing, her paper had a real cowboy look to it, complete with horsehoes and cowboy boots.

Well, pardners, that concludes my list of projects using the Cricut Old West cartridge.  Of course, if you have made anything using this cart, we would love to hear about it. Just visit us at Deals-On-Cricut-Cartridges.com for your all you Cricut projects and Cricut cartridges.
